Retreat Facilitator
Lisa Raggio
For more than three decades, Lisa Raggio has helped leaders navigate moments of transition, growth, and transformation. Whether guiding executive teams through organizational change, helping women veterans discover their next chapter, or leading one of the nation’s premier firefighter health organizations, her work is rooted in one belief: extraordinary leadership begins with extraordinary connection.
As Chief Executive Officer of the Firefighter Cancer Support Network, Lisa leads one of the nation’s foremost nonprofit organizations dedicated to supporting firefighters and their families through cancer prevention, education, and survivorship. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for bringing together diverse stakeholders, building strategic partnerships, and guiding organizations through meaningful growth and transformation.
Lisa’s leadership journey spans the corporate, nonprofit, healthcare, and philanthropic sectors. Early leadership roles with Nestlé and The Walt Disney Company instilled a deep appreciation for strategic thinking, operational excellence, brand stewardship, and the discipline required to build high-performing organizations. She later served as Executive Director of the Foundation for a community mental health center, where she partnered with clinicians, community leaders, public sector and donors to expand access to care for diverse and underserved populations—an experience that reinforced her belief that the strongest organizations are built by leaders who lead with both compassion and courage.
Before joining the Firefighter Cancer Support Network, Lisa founded the Focus on Female Veterans initiative at the YWCA, recognized as a best practice program, creating leadership and transition programs that empowered women veterans as they moved from military service into civilian leadership. She also co-developed and designed an award-winning leadership program for post-9/11 veterans through Leadership Pasadena, equipping emerging leaders with the confidence, skills, and community connections to lead with purpose in their next chapter.
Throughout her career, Lisa has been drawn to helping individuals and organizations navigate meaningful change. From supporting women veterans and firefighters through life’s pivotal transitions to guiding boards, executive teams, and organizations through periods of growth and transformation, she creates environments where people feel both challenged and supported—spaces where honest conversations lead to fresh perspectives, stronger relationships, and intentional action.
Lisa, also a certified business coach, has facilitated executive retreats, leadership development programs, board retreats, and strategic planning sessions for leaders seeking not only better outcomes, but deeper purpose. Her facilitation style blends thoughtful reflection, practical leadership strategies, authentic conversation, and a touch of humor, inspiring participants to leave not only with new ideas, but with renewed energy, greater clarity, and meaningful connections.
When she’s not leading organizations or facilitating executive conversations, Lisa can usually be found hiking mountain trails, swimming, preparing for her upcoming Camino de Santiago pilgrimage, listening to true crime podcasts, or practicing meditation. Earlier in life, she expressed her creativity as a singer-songwriter by writing a musical and as the lead vocalist of the garage band Wildflower 7—an experience she credits with teaching her that confidence often begins by simply stepping onto the stage. One song at a time.
Whether she’s leading a national nonprofit, guiding executive teams, or facilitating intimate conversations among women leaders, Lisa’s passion remains the same: helping people connect more deeply with themselves, with one another, and with the purpose that inspires their best leadership. She believes the most meaningful breakthroughs rarely happen during presentations—they happen in conversations. Her greatest joy is creating spaces where accomplished leaders feel safe enough to think differently, courageous enough to grow, and inspired enough to lead with greater intention.
At the Origins Women’s Leadership Retreat, Lisa looks forward to creating an experience where exceptional women leaders can step away from the demands of daily leadership to reconnect with themselves, learn from one another, and return home with renewed purpose, meaningful relationships, and a clear intention for what comes next.
